Peter Seymour, the computer co-ordinator at Peter Lalor Secondary College has come up with the innovative idea of posting his students' TYPEQUICK results on the school intranet. The children use the intranet often and like to see their results on display. It has also resulted in some healthy competition and has had a motivating effect on the kids. They don't like to see they are only up to lesson one, when others in the class are doing lessons further ahead. For each class year, Peter enters the student's name and speed and accuracy results for each lesson but only if they achieve 90% accuracy.

By giving the parents the intranet address, they can review their child's results and progress through the TYPEQUICK course from their home PC.

The school believes that their students should not only learn to type but they should learn to type properly. They are using both TYPEQUICK programs and Peter told us that while he has used other typing programs in the past, he thinks Typequick is fantastic. He believes that it is the best on the market as it teaches and teaches well.
