Word From Editor
Typequick has become the standard in education throughout Australia and is used in colleges, universities, TAFEs and more than 1500 schools. It is the most widely used single course in the history of Australian training. Several years ago we started our school trophy program to promote the importance of learning how to type with ten fingers and to encourage more children to learn. Now we would like to recognise the contribution and effort that teachers put in to teaching keyboarding skills and their knowledge of the Typequick teaching system by inviting them to become Typequick Certified Trainers - please read on to find out more. |

We would like to recognise and acknowledge teachers who are training their students to touch-type using the Typequick teaching system by inviting them to apply to become Typequick Certified Trainers. If you have been teaching keyboarding skills to your students with Typequick for more than one year, you are eligible to apply. |
The application form and more details can be printed out from the "In Education" page on our website at www.typequick.com.au. To celebrate the launch of this program, the first ten teachers to become Typequick Certified Trainers will receive a $50 Typequick Gift Voucher that they can redeem with their next Typequick purchase. |

Training Kits
Now your students can take home Typequick for Students! |
|||||||||||
|
If you don't have the time or resources to teach touch-typing to your students, why not encourage them to learn at home with an Individual Training Kit. Recent research shows that 82% of teenagers are using a PC at home. Teachers like the concept of students practising out of school as well as in class (especially when there are timetabling problems). It helps them to complete the course in the shortest time, enabling them to go on to learn other computer applications. |
It also frees up time on school PCs that are usually so overworked. The kit consists of a TYPEQUICK disk (single use only), instructions, TQ Helpers (stickers for the home keys), Mental Rehearsal Card and a Parent's Guide/Guide to Success. Previously, these kits were only available in a LEARN TO TYPE version. Now we can also offer you the new TYPEQUICK for Students version that your students can run on their laptops or their home PCs. Please contact us on (02) 9498 7433 for further details. | ||||||||||

Wulguru Primary School is one of our schools currently using TYPEQUICK FOR STUDENTS. Their Year 4 and 5 students are using the program 2-3 times a week with the aim of getting their keyboard proficiency up to speed before they enter their final year of primary school. |
Helen said that the students love using the program because of the success that it gives them. They enjoy the positive feedback and humour of the characters. It is age appropriate for our secondary students. Not only are keyboard skills being learned, but students are also totally focused and improving their . |
