Typequick's new exclusive UK distributor is Bridge-Learning Ltd.
Bridge-Learning was formed in January 1996 and was, for a number of years, the
UK's only fully independent distributor of e-learning materials. The company
offered a vast range of learning topics on CD-ROM, video and DVD, or for
delivery via the Internet. More recently, the company has opted to specialise
in courses that teach introductory and intermediate computer skills, such
as Microsoft Office, the 'European Computer Driving Licence' - and keyboard
skills.
Director and founder of Bridge-Learning, Andy Stevenson, who was at the
Department of Health for many years before setting up his own business, is very
excited about becoming Typequick's 'man in the UK'. "Over the years, I have
seen scores of courseware products that teach touch typing, but Typequick is by
far the most effective" he says. "There are two separate courses -
one tailored for students, the other for adults - and both use the
same unrivalled and proven teaching methodology. The courses are clearly
structured, students get constant feedback on their performance, and the
supporting administration software provides detailed progress reports
for individuals and groups that are invaluable to both tutors and
students."
"Touch typing is a fundamental and essential computer skill", Andy continues.
"Typing with just two fingers is like driving a car but never getting beyond
second gear. With the dramatic increase in PC usage over recent years we are
all typists now! Through touch typing you can save hours. For employers, this
means real bottom-line savings, whilst schools can give their students a vital
life skill essential to a successful academic career. By providing Typequick,
we feel that we are making an important and positive contribution to peoples'
future success.
